Day 13- Animal Print
I used Essies Mint Candy Apple and Sally’s Blue Me Away! for my zebra stripes. I originally wanted to do snake scales but the stamp was just not picking anything off the plate. ugh!

Fishtail nails! For this I sorta used Precious Polish’s tutorial.
Remember that post I did a while ago about making a nail art brush out an old liquid eyeliner brush? So I took that brush and cut off a lot of the bristles to make it really thin, and that’s what I used to do these. It’s nice because this brush is good at making lines but also good at detail work.
Colors: Julep Hayden, blue and black acrylic paint
Also! A picture of me awkwardly modeling my new ring. Ever wonder why my pointer finger sticks out instead of lining up with my middle finger? Yeah, it curves funny. And my pinky is really short apparently, that’s why it tends to look weird in pictures too.
Models Own Indian Ocean over Julep Jessica
ugh LOVE this polish so much! I read that it’s extremely sheer, even at 4 coats, so I layered it. This is 2 coats of Indian Ocean over 1 coat of Jessica.
You can create a very similar look if you have Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat. Sally was selling it around the holidays. It’s sheer but has the same purple/pink to pale gold color shifting pigments as Indian Ocean. If you layer it over a light blue, it’s pretty similar. (the glitter one on the right is OPI Pirouette My Whistle, I just wanted to see how it looked).
Sorry my cuticles are a bit messy today.
Sorry I’ve been MIA for awhile. I’m bummed I didn’t have the time to do any St. Patrick’s Day nails! On a brighter note, I’m in love with these. I think I have more blue polishes than any other color (even pink which I find surprising). This was my first time doing a gradient and I definitely think I could blend the colors a little more. I’ll definitely be trying this again!
