Jamberry Nail Shields - Spring Flower

So Jamberry is kind like Avon with how they have representatives that sell the products, and we have a representative in my town who worked with my school to give out samples to people who bought post prom tickets, and these were the ones that I chose!

I love birds and florals and both are things that I’m scared of even attempting on my nails so I chose the Spring Flower design, which has both! To put these on you warm them up with a hair dryer for 15 seconds then apply to your nail. Then you file off the excess and use the hair dryer again to seal them. It was pretty easy, although I had some problems getting the tips to stay completely smooth on my index fingers. It’s nothing too horrible though, and these feel very secure on my nails instead of feeling like foreign objects.

Also shown is three coats of Sinful Colors Dream On.

YOU’RE A STUD!

Today I have a product from Born Pretty Store to share with you. I was generously provided with a bag of 4mm gold square studs for an honest review. The studs came in a small plastic packet, which I later poured into a small container for easier use. They are very light even though they are made of metal, so they do not bother me at all.

I was worried that these studs would snag on my clothes, but I have been wearing these all day with no problems at all - they are flat and the corners are rounded. Unlike other metal rhinestones, these do not get discolored after applying a top coat.

Application of these studs are incredibly easy. You do not need to use glue. A simple top coat adheres the studs firmly.

Each bag sells for less than $6 and with the coupon code MANDIEW21, you can enjoy a 10% discount off your entire purchase (+ free shipping worldwide).

Born Pretty Store sent me the product to review. I am in no way affiliated with this company. The opinions stated in this review are honest and my own.

I used OPI’s Mermaid’s Tears as the base color.

Questions? Keep in touch with me via Facebook! My giveaway for two OPI polishes is still open until tomorrow night at 9:00 PM PST.

REVIEW: China Glaze Holiday Berry Cuticle Oil

I have always seemed to have atrocious cuticles. I was forever getting hangnails and having around my nails cracked and horrible looking. Even as an avid moisturizer and with my use of the Healthy Hoof Intensive Protein Treatment (review forthcoming) they were still not that great. I picked up the cuticle oil because it came in a pack with some other China Glaze polishes I wanted. I had no idea how to use it or how it would work.

Basically I just apply it all around my cuticles, let it sit for a minute or two then rub it in. For me, the difference is huge, within a few days I started to notice that my cuticles tore less, there were fewer hangnails and that my fingertips looked better in general. I definitely recommend picking some of this up if you can.

However, there are two cons: one is that if you happen to have a matte polish or a matte top coat it will totally un-mattify it in a strange way.

The other con is just for me. One of my newish kittens either likes the scent or the taste of the cuticle oil and licks and bites at my fingertips when I’m trying to sleep. As a former obsessive nailbiter, it’s rather annoying to work so hard at not biting and keeping your nails nice only to have a kitten bite your nails for you.
